Oakstors Whoopsi Lazarus at Dreambern - "Lazarus" This is Lazarus 11th July 1998 - 26th October 2004. The whole litter was called the Whoopsi litter because they weren't exactly planned between Mattie and Tosca. He was named Lazarus because when he was born in a litter of 11 he was not breathing, and it took 40 minutes of breathing in him and rubbing him to get him to breathe, and at last he came round. Lazarus suffered a stroke in February 2003 and was completely paralysed. After 6 weeks at the wonderful Animal Health Trust in Newmarket Lazarus came home and although he was unco-ordinated when he moved about and it was a bit of an effort he was happy. Unfortunately Lazarus contracted Gastro enteritis in October 2004 and did not have the fight in him to recover from it. Lazarus died 26th October 2004, he was the perfect Bernese - beautiful temperament and incredibly handsome.
Rest in peace my dear sweet boy.
