Dreambern Disco Diva - "Disco"

Disco was in a litter of just one but fortunately my other bitch Gussy had a litter of puppies the following day so I was able to “borrow” one of hers to keep her company. Disco unfortunately got very ill at just 2 weeks old and had a lot of trouble breathing, sometimes to the extent that she panicked and started to turn blue.

All I could do was comfort and cuddle her until she calmed down. I took her to the vets and they said that she had an abnormally small windpipe and that she should be euthanized. I was devastated a sought a second opinion. The second vets referred me to an ENT specialist and he thought that Disco had Laryngeal Paralysis and the prognosis was not good at all. Disco was operated on when she was just 3 weeks old and the surgeon discovered that she had a growth on her larynx which prevented it from operating correctly.

The growth was removed and she soon recovered and came alive. Today she is happy and healthy and I can’t wait to show her because she is so beautiful and full of life.
